Why should someone hire Thames?
We know your space. Ultimately, what we bring to the table is the fact that we have entrepreneurial mindsets and experience. We’ve all started our own companies. We know what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. We’re not big corporate gurus from huge consulting firms.
How can you help? How can you help companies break through growth hurdles?
We can do three things. First – we can determine why you are stuck. Second, we can provide the solution. Third, we can implement the solution.
There are lots of books. There are now lots of videos. Why don’t I just go online for these solutions?
Reading about something online will educate you, but it is not going to get the dirty work done. We’ll get it done. We’ve done it again and again. That’s what we bring to the table. When I look at some of the projects we’re working on, companies are hiring us because we have a track record of following through and helping their company hit their target.
We don’t have experience in every industry, but the problems that small businesses experience more often than not cut across all industries. We believe the disciplines we invoke can help in most industries. Does it help if we have experience in your industry? Absolutely. There are things unique to every industry, but at the end of the day, you are either selling a product or a service; and you are either making and doing what you want or your aren’t.
Who shouldn’t hire Thames?
We can’t help someone who has all the answers. We can only help someone who wants help. If you have all the answers you don’t need us. We’ve talked to companies with whom we didn’t engage because they felt they had the answers. Then, far too often and two years later, they are in the same spot.
We are probably not the right fit if you like the status quo. I know dozens of business owners who grew their companies to a certain level and then shrunk the business because they weren’t comfortable at that level. Others didn’t want the headaches because there are headaches to growing a company – and THAT IS OK.
There has to be a burning desire to advance to the next level. We’ll help you get through the headaches, but you have to be committed to growing and transitioning.
